A Special Episode

We don’t have a game episode this week so, I’m going to review an odd comic that came into my possession recently.  I’ve been nervous to read it but after doing some research into one of the creators of it and it’s possible the comic isn’t as bad as my reaction jerked knee.  We’ll see.

I have yet to catch up on my fantasy updates.  I’ve been overly distracted by television.  I’ll talk about that in the episode.  I have to get done some reading and then record tonight, and then I’ll start catching up on everything else.  I did manage to wash some dishes, though.  So, ya know, there’s that.

Fantasy Update Week Twelve

The Red Dragons’ confidence has waned considerably over the last two weeks.  Suffering repeated losses demoralized The Dragons in such a way, many of them felt their end biting at their heels.  Nonetheless, moving forward, The Dragons bolster their ranks and march toward the next conflict.

The Dragons lost more than half the battlefield to the forces of ImportantOne.  The Dragons touched down many times albeit not so often as their enemies.  The ImportantOne and his forces fought back against The Dragons with an unmatched ferocity.  The Dragons plotted an ambush.  Attempting to lull the enemy into a false sense of security and then lunge.  Unfortunately the enemy’s sense of security was somewhat more than false.

The Level 20 Red Dragons lost to THEIMPORTANTONE 184.30-118.80.

Well, there’s that.  I have a lot more to get done before I go to bed.  Stay tuned for the next episode.  Later.

Trump is Still Really Great*

I meant to do this last week and then got distracted.  Obviously he isn’t nor ever was.  I’m just waiting for him to see the headline and not read about he’s a whiny, insolent cunt.  Former President Obama received death threats and actual nooses presented to him on tours across the United States, and took it in stride with the grace and nobility one would expect from a dignitary and President of the United States.  But now, someone says trump is a dummy, he cries treason and bitches on Twitter as though it means something.

Anyway, I had a thing on Facebook and I’m still stewing about it.  These worthless assholes refuse accept that the LDS church is out of line and offending their rights as well as the sick and infirmed being hurt by the resistance to Proposition 2 in Utah, which passed and then was immediately undermined by the church and other special interest groups aligned with the church.   Just accept your loss, take your sacrament, and move on.  There’s no need for religious hypocrisy and disregard for The People in politics.  There’s already more than enough inherent in politics as it is.

I apologize.  I’m just so sick of the illiterati running everything into the ground and thinking it’s OK because their mommy said they’re special.  So, here’s my fantasy football thing now:

Fantasy Update Week Eleven

Still reeling from the prior defeat The Dragons tread lightly.  Going forward into their next conflict, The Dragons pace themselves in the coming struggle.

The man of Goff fought valiantly.  A beacon of might to his soldiers.  Ultimately The Dragons managed to stave them off.  Holding a commanding lead through the latter half of the contest.  Runners among The Dragons wove throughout and about their enemies.  To watch this scene as the birds do one may wonder after the abcence of the enemy defense.

You Got Bungled lost to the The Level 20 Red Dragons 169.03-130.73.

Now, for those of you keeping score at home, next week will be the second anniversary for Redstone Diaries.  We wound up not recording last week so, as of this moment we don’t have an episode for the anniversary.  I’ll decide what to do with that on my next weekend.  In the meantime feel free to check out the rest of the website and send us text messages or voicemails using the Comedy Shed Radio Hotline.

An Experiment

I was thinking the other day that it would be funny if I wrote a trump-positive headline and then a truthful, or trump-negative article and see if it notices.  So, be sure to share and tweet and whatever else when my next article comes out.  It should be a lot of fun.

The new episode will drop tomorrow and we’ll be recording again Friday night.  This will be the first time our whole team will be together!  I’m getting ready to record the intro for this week’s episode, I found some interesting tidbits on Twitter i’m excited to talk about.  So, until then, here’s my week ten fantasy update that I should have posted last week.

Fantasy Update Week Ten

Overconfidence is strong among The Dragons following their victory of the previous week.  Ridley’s force struck early taking advantage of surprise.  The Dragons thrown off balance, quickly lose their foothold.  The battle rages onward.

The Dragons make their move and are met by the enemy at each step.  The enemy’s general is a valiant leader.  He leads his army by gaining the most points...I mean drawing the most blood from The Dragons.  For days the battle carries on.  Bodies of Dragons littering the ground.  The Dragons fought well alas, not well enough.

The Level 20 Red Dragons lost to Ridley Me This 155.57-227.17.

Alright, I need to start reading through some articles and write my notes for the intro.  And I’m busy watching TV.  Later.

A Small Taste

I know I should have done this earlier but I spent the last day and a half not  getting the data from my last phone loaded up onto my new phone...and then a lot of TV watching.

I’m right now starting season four of The Flash, having a snack, and then making pies.  It’s become tradition now for thanksgiving that I make Peanut Butter Cup Pies.  The recipe for which I got from thatmeanswegetpie.com about eight or nine years ago.

I’m behind on my writing so I don’t have my Fantasy Football Update yet.  I’ll work on it for my regular weekly post for this week.  This one was supposed to be shorter.  There will be an episode this week I just have to get started on these pies.

Rough Week

This week has been rough so far.  It started solemnly with Veterans’ Day here in the US, and then one of great creatives died on Monday morning.  Stan “The Man” Lee was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was later pronounced.  I wrote my peace on all this that night.  If you’d like to read it, it was the piece just previous of this article.  Suffice to say: you will be missed, Stan.

That said, back to work.  I’m about to record my intro and upload the new episode.  I’ve recently gotten into Pluto TV.  I’m diggin’ it.  I’ve been watching poker all day and lamenting how much I miss playing it regularly.  And of course, I can’t host my game this Saturday because I’ll be going to An Evening With Neil Gaiman.  Perhaps the weekend of thanksgiving, we’ll see.  It seemed almost harder to write today.  I’ve been sitting here in my underpants AND smoking a pipe.  I thought that would help.  well, here’s this week’s fantasy unpdate.

Fantasy Football Update Week Nine

The Dragons, reinvigorated by their victory over the previous week, plans to carry forth their momentum onto this battlefield.  Both sides are anxious albeit cautious.  The first day is quiet.  Neither side moving to attack.  Waiting for just the moment....

The Dragons pull out to lead early.  They witness the might of Kareem of Hunters and they find once more their ferocity.  Striking swift and hard the Dragons lose ground, although, never so much that the Dragons hobble themselves into disadvantage.  The battle rages, the Dragons push back their foes all theghout the second day.  As dawn breaks upon the third day the Dragons are spent.  Their opponent having one chance to survive the conflict.  Their defending Minotaurs stepping out upon the field are anticipated to clench victory.  Alas, the oracles on this day were mistaken.

The Level 20 Red Dragons defeated Kolby’s Name Changers 160.67-153.4.  It was close for a moment but with the Cowboys’ weakened defense they drastically underproduced for Kolby.

It took me perhaps too long to get all this written today.  So that’s it today.  Listen to the new episode tomorrow and keep an eye out on our twitter, instagram, and Facebook pages.  My plan is to have an early release link up around midnight.
