So, Last Week Sucked

Sorry about missing the episode post last week.  There were problems with editing and uploading and there's a certain perspective from which that it's my fault for not adequately maintaining data storage among my devices.  Let's not focus on that now.  I'm tidying up and recording a new intro for tomorrow's episode.  I actually made notes on some news stuff that happened recently.  The intro may be interesting finally.

The FanX Loyalty Launch went live today.  Go to https://fanxsaltlake.com/tickets/ to buy your FanX tickets while they're discounted.  I'm getting mine soon.  The next show is April 19-20.  Hope to see you there.  There's some stuff going on with the Marvel/Netflix shows.  Anyway, here comes the new episode.  Watch Twitter for the early release link and in the meantime, enjoy the Fantasy Update for Week Six.

Fantasy Update Week Six

The Dragons fell prey to thier own hubris.  After they burned the mighty Bears, the Dragons loosed thier defenses.  The Bengals defending our forces fell short of thier charge while the enemy’s defenses held true against our most powerful strikes.

The Rodgers fought valiantly, leading our forces across an uncertain battlefield.  Relenting not until the final fight ended.  The Monks of Reasons moved with unearthly speed as they attacked the Red Dragons.  They commenced thier attack early on and fought with great fervor to hold thier advantage over the Dragons.  For days the Monks fought and overpowered the Dragons.  Not for a moment lessening thier attack.

The Level 20 Red Dragons lost to the 12 Reasons Why, 177.73-210.97.

One more thing.  Submit your own original short, possibly micro, story to fill ten to fifteen minutes of airtime and it'll be apart of our bonus content that will soon be available to our Patreon supporters.  Stories need to be first person accounts of the uuuuuneeeeeexplained, 10-15 minutes airtime, e-mail them to us through the website and one of us will perform it for you, or read them yourself and leave the recording on the Comedy Shed Radio Hotline 801-900-3154, and we'll include them as part of "The Old Woman's Book" which has become an integral part of our current adventure.  Myself and a number of my friends are working on our own tales and will be available in November.  Later.

Here We Go Again.

A slight technical difficulty.  This week’s episode will be out later today.  There are some news things I need to check on before I finalize the episode and I need to hand off the audio for Hollie Jay’s podcast.  They recorded their upcoming episode in the Quiet Treats Studio and they’ll be putting it out soon.  Also, I forgot to get the name of their podcast and where to find it.  I’ll let you guys know about all that next time.

More importantly, though, season three of Daredevil drops at midnight tonight on Netflix!  I can’t wait!  There are few things about Iron Fist to discuss but by way of good news, I’ve read that Luke Cage was green lit for season three, and The Punisher season two, I think, is the next Marvel/Netflix series to drop after Daredevil season three.

Since you’ve been clamoring for it, here's the fantasy update for week five of the fantasy football season:

The Bears of Ill Tidings had been pillaging the countryside unchallenged for many weeks.  Roaming from village to village leaving behind nothing more than stories and corpses.  The Dragons find themselves reinvigorated after their previous defeat.  Having shed the failing wizard, The Dragons took flight and struck fiercely.

The week’s battle started with the opposing forces evenly matched.  The first day ended before either side had claimed an upper hand.  Throughout the second day Bears fell one by one.  The Dragons chose to not to relent.  Rending the flesh and sinew from their falling prey, The Dragons tore through Bears as though they were merely playthings filled with soft stuffing and had no more claw or tooth than they possessed the true will to win.  As the sun rose for the third day there were no more bears for The Dragons to devour.  The last Dragon picked across the battlefield nonetheless.

The Level 20 Red Dragons bested Ang’s Bad News Bears, 181.57-148.20.

I need a nap now.  See ya later.  And I’m looking for suggestions of things to draw, give me some ideas.

Game On!

We’re getting back to the World of Darkness this week.  Last week we reviewed Guilds of Ravnica.  Well, I talked about our review of Guilds of Ravnica.  We played a few games on Twitch.  Look us up at https://m.twitch.tv/comedyshedradio and watch us play the new set.  And keep an eye there, we’re working out other games to play on that platform.

     Oh and then there’s this:

Week Four Fantasy Update

The weeks have been long thus far.  The battles hard won and dreadfully lost.  A ost anticipated conflict was this.  Meeting on the field of battle this time the Dragons see before them the Possums.  Posing no genuine threat, the Dragons march forth with great confidence.  None knew then what would come to pass.

The Possums retreated early, further and further back into their territory.  Luring the Red Dragons into the inevitable ambush.  After the middle of the second day the Dragons find themselves at a grave disadvantage.  The trap sprung, the Possums moved decisively against the Dragons and pressed their attack.  For a day and a half the Possums carried on biting an clawing at the throats of the Red Dragons.  Ultimately, the Dragons fell.  The Possums transformed then in that moment, becoming Celestial Specters.

In this, the fourth week of fantasy football, The Level 20 Red Dragons lost to the Space Ghosts(Possums) 170.70-237.37.

Trust me, the Week Five update will be much happier.  In the meantime enjoy the new episode available tomorrow morning.

FUN!

I had a friend over and we worked out some videos on Twitch under the handle comedyshedradio.  We played some Magic the Gathering.  We threw together a couple of decks from the upcoming set, Guilds of Ravnica, and we recorded a quick review.  I have some video and audio to edit to can this week’s episode so, it’s going to be a little late.   Ideally later today, possibly early tomorrow morning.  I’m great, I’m just not a machine.  Get off my ass.  Also, I’m thinking about going to see Venom later today so I may wait until after that and make this one big episode of reviews.

In the meantime, I have my week three fantasy football update:

Week Three Update

Both sides decided to commence this portion of the campaign in ambush.  Both sides lying in wait for the other to act.  With General Rogers’ fitness to command still in question, we sought aid from another.  A wizard hailing from the land Bagged-Doossche.  Having proved himself thus far whilst unaligned, our hopes lay with his magic hands.

All at once our forces clash in the most swift carnage we have witnessed in this age.  Our victory was truly willed by gods.  Raining lightning upon our foes.  While our strongest warriors plucked the thunder from the sky and rang it about our enemy.  This contest was close and short, though, surely not simple.  We moved quickly, sharply, decision our most honed tool.  Keeping our eye single to our goal and in equal measure keeping our enemies to our back.  No sweeter rest than that following our victory here, at the end of our third week of this momentous campaign.

Proven mighty again, our Level 20 Red Dragons triumphed over THEIMPORTANTONE 193.30-130.80.

And that was that.  Well, I need a shower and a cheeseburger, and then I’ll be getting back to work.  Until then.

Things Are Happening

Get ready, folks!  A new episode coming out tomorrow!  I apologize in advance for the audio.  We know what happened and how to fix it.  It shouldn’t be a problem anymore.  And then, we’re recording Friday night.  Feel free to voicemail, text, Twitter, or whatever.  We may even do some periscoping before hand.  I just got my new iOgrapher case for my iPhone 6s+ and I’m excited to use it.   Feel free to use this link: https://www.iographer.com/?ref=timflood and check out what iOgrapher has to offer.

This Sunday, September 30th is International Podcast Day.  We recorded some interviews at FanX so, if nothing else, I’ll post the audio of those interviews as an extra episode of the podcast.  I’m still trying to figure out an effective process for video episodes.  The video of those interviews will be available to you guys somehow.  We’re also doing another booster draft and review for the upcoming expansion set; Guilds of Ravnica, for Magic the Gathering from Wizards of the Coast.  The new set is available October 5th.  Keep an eye on our social media this Sunday.  We may be broadcasting our booster draft through twitch or some other means.

And because I still haven’t figured out where exactly I’m going to put these, here’s my next fantasy football update.

Week Two Update

The second week of the campaign did not go so well as the first.  The Red Dragon’s defense waned early in the week putting our Red Dragons at a grave disadvantage while many of our warriors fell to injury.  Even our great General Rogers once had his leg taken from under him.  As he fell, questions rose as to his capacity to act in the coming weeks.

The enemy pressed an early advantage against our Dragons.  With each skirmish they marched further and further.  Each step seemingly caked with blood as they trod across our land.  So fades the memory of our previous victory as we find ourselves choked by the ease with which we attained it.  The ease that our current foe seems to have found in us.  The sun rises on the final day.  Our last warrior facing impossible odds fights on with the confidence of a man who could win.  Ultimately, his great effort in vain, the Red Dragons fall.

The Level 20 Red Dragons lost to the team You Got Bungled 118.53-145.30.

See you guys next time.  Have fun!
